About SCC
TELEHEALTH ONLY SERVICES
I am so glad you have decided to prioritize yourself and your emotional wellness. I know that going to therapy demands vulnerability, and I want to offer culturally sensitive counseling and a compassionate space where you can identify what you need to live a purpose-driven and fulfilling life. I know the therapeutic relationship is vital for the counseling process, and it should be person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally affirming, as a psychodynamic therapist my approach is to encourage you to speak freely about anything that comes to mind, including difficulties, fears, hopes and dreams and I will help you align to your values. I provide services in English and Spanish, and being fluent in both allows me to understand the unique needs of bilingual and bicultural individuals. As I believe that our culture, family, traditions, and upbringing influence how we view and interact with the world, and I will help you highlight your strength and beauty.

Greetings! I have 18 years of experience providing services to Washington Residents in Pierce, King and Thurston County. As a community mental health therapist I worked with diverse individuals from all walks of life, includes children, adolescents, adults, and families, both in inpatient and outpatient settings, and in intensive crisis stabilization and trauma work. My areas of focus include individuals with depression, anxiety, stress and trauma, interpersonal relationship conflicts, grief and loss and other serious psychological disorders.
My approach is psychodynamic, person centered, and humanistic; I engage clients in in-depth talk therapy in which the focus is on the relationship you have with the external world and empower the client to achieve self-determined goals related to health and wellness. I especially focus on those individuals who have lost meaning in their lives and have difficulty forming or maintaining relationships both personal and professionally. For me my approach works on individuals who have the capacity to be self-reflective and are looking to obtain insight into themselves and their behavior. Call, text or email; I would love to talk more about what you may need.
Sincerely, Alma Quinden, MS, LMHC, SUDP, MHP
